  • 1lb. Shrimp make sure they are peeled and deveined.

  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes for heat.

  • Salt and Pepper to taste to season the shrimp.

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic, Jalapeno, Oregano, and Thyme: Aromatic ingredients.

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil: For sautéing.

  • 1/2 Red Onion

  • 1 Red Bell Peppers, pureed with tomatoes

  • 1 shot Tequila: Adds depth of flavor.

  • 1 cup Vegetable Stock to add richness.

  • 2 Tomatoes your base of the diablo sauce.

  • 1 Fresh Jalapenos and a few dried Red Peppers (chili pequin): For that devilish heat.


  1. Season the shrimp with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

  2. Sauté garlic, oregano, and thyme in olive oil until fragrant.

  3. Add the shrimp and cook until done, then transfer them to a plate.

  4. Puree bell peppers, jalapenos', dried red peppers, and tomatoes, and sauté.

  5. Add tequila, vegetable stock, sauteed red onions, and salt; simmer until slightly thickened.

  6. Return the shrimp to the pan toss together to heat through.

Garnish with scallions, parsley, lemon or all three to elevate the visual appeal too!
